There are two main types of cell:



Eukaryotic cells are quite large and include all plant and animal cells, whereas prokaryotic cells are simpler, examples of which are bacteria.


Eukaryotic cells are made up of eukaryotes, prokaryotic cells are made up of prokaryotes and are single celled organisms. In any event both types of cell contain component parts known as "subcellular structures"
