Discrete and Continuous Quantitative
As well as being classified as "primary" and "secondary", data can also be classified as "qualitative" or "quantitative", also "quantitative" data can be further subdivided into "discrete" or "continuous".
Discrete data is data which can only take certain values, such as for example shoe sizes, or eye colour, whereas continuous data is not restricted to certain specific values so for example this could cover the weights of bags of bananas on a supermarket shelf.
Qualitative data, however, is in the form of words. For example the name of the town that you were born in would constitute qualitative data.
