Prokaryotes and Subcellular Structures
The subcellular structure of a prokaryotic cell is different:
For example, bacteria are prokaryotes. The bacterial cell has cytoplasm, a cell membrane and this is all surrounded by a cell wall. The cell itself does not have a 'nucleus' as other cells do, instead it has a singular circular strand of DNA floating around freely in the cytoplasm.
DNA is "Deoxyribonucleic Acid" and we will come across this later.
